The Hallow Life Demo is OUT!

Think that's eye-catching enough? Now that I have your attention, Icey has an important announcement to make. Ready??

The Hallow Life demo is out!

Yessir, you heard me right. Viral has finally released the first demo of The Hallow Life!

So what is it, exactly?
This is a demo to show what kinds of graphics will be used throughout the game, as well as give a small idea of what type of environment to expect. And trust me, as wonderful as this demo is, the actual gameplay graphics will be a lot better. Yes, better than what you see here.

Where do we view the demo?
Simple answer:
Click here!
Download the demo to an easy to remember location, such as your desktop, and follow the instructions below:

• Use a program like WinRAR to open the .rar. Don't have to extract the entire thing unless you want to.
• Okay, there's two options here. Don't worry about anything other than the .exe files. There's two of them. The first one will be for the majority of people here. The second is a lower-quality demo for those with dial-up or slower internet speeds. Click one of the .exe files. A dialogue box will appear with three options. These are your render options: 8.0 is decent, 9.0 is what you'll want to run, I think. And the last option is a lower-quality, but still available for use.
• Watch the demo! Enough said.

So what did I just see?
Alright, now that you have viewed (and if you haven't then, *threatens with a toy banhammer that squeaks on impact*) ...let's go over what the demo has to offer:

• Particle rendering
• Particle shading
• Particle 4D effects (yes...that is, 4D)
• Generic cell shading
• Fade shade and fade effect
• Blur effect
• Ghost/after image effect
• Aura effect
• I guess you could say, "real images," for lack of a better term; being, the night sky, the stone and grass
• 3D optical camera views

And no, there's nothing elaborate like any navigation or anything. This is just a small clip of what may come into being in the future...of course, what follows is going to be much better than this.

ETA on the second demo - July 1st. This is subject to change depending on circumstances. So if July 1st rolls around and the demo doesn't appear, please don't sit here asking billions of questions, or bitch and moan about it. This is why it's the estimated time of arrival.

Is it just me or you're just stuck on Stonehenge circling around it time and time again

and the resolution aren't that high either.... the higest i could find's 1024 x 768

Lol, sunmoon. It's a demo of what kind of graphics to expect, what the playback will look like. Not quite to do with the game yet, but it's definitely a start, considering all we had last time was a small preview on YouTube...
